Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
When you sign in via Google, X (Twitter), or Reddit, we receive your user ID, display name, and — where the provider supplies it — your email address. We also store the projects, milestones, check-ins, and village data you create, along with support messages you send us.
2. How we use your data
We use your data solely to operate ProjectVillage: to authenticate you, store your progress, process payments, and respond to support requests. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-party services
We rely on the following services to operate:
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting
- Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions
- Google, X (Twitter), Reddit — OAuth sign-in providers
Each service operates under its own privacy policy.
4. Cookies & local storage
We use cookies only as required for authentication (session tokens managed by Supabase). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
5. Data retention
Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and village content are permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
6. Security
All data is stored in Supabase with row-level security policies so that users can only access their own records. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe — we never store card details.
7. Your rights
You may request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. If you are in the EU or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR / UK GDPR including the right to object and the right to data portability.
8. Children
ProjectVillage is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
